Leaders Circle, Vancouver - Spring 2010

Leaders Circle is a monthly opportunity for voluntary sector leaders to learn together, and from one another; to develop a network of support; and to share and receive ideas and feedback.  The program consists of eight breakfast workshops and is designed for Executive Directors and Board Members. Sending multiple attendees from a single organization is highly encouraged to expand the impact of this program at the organizational level.

Leaders Circle is currently offered in Vancouver (the Spring 2010 session series will run from April 2010 through Jan 2011) and in the Fraser Valley (session series running from Oct 2009 through July 2010, registration closed).

The Spring 2010 Leaders Circle, Vancouver will take place on the first Wednesday of every month from April 2010 through Jan 2011 (with a  July - Aug summer break). Sessions will be held at Vantage Point's offices at 1183 Melville Street from 8:00 – 10:00am. Topics will cover issues important to an organization and its leadership:

• Governance as Leadership: Reframing the Work of the Nonprofit Board
• Building the Best: Strategic Board Recruitment
• Who's Next : Succession Planning in your Organization and on your Board
• Maintaining a Healthy Board: What you should regularly be doing
• What everyone should know about the BC Society Act
• The Board's Role in Fundraising: Not What you Think
• Managing Generational Change
• Leveraging Your People Assets: Both Paid & Unpaid

A skilled facilitator will ensure continunity from one month to the next, providing participants with the opportunity to share specific learning and challenges they encounter between sessions. The Leaders Circle "faculty" will also include a different trained expert to deliver each monthly workshop topic.

The fee for participation in Leaders Circle is $500.00.
