Let’s admit it: most not-for-profits don’t think about the BC Society Act very often. Yet the Act sets the legal framework for every not-for-profit society incorporated in BC. It sets the boundaries for governance, financial affairs, amalgamation, and dissolution. Do you know if your organization is in compliance with the Society Act?
