People Planning 101

Feel like your team is always killing a penalty?

You don’t have to play shorthanded at your organization, but you do have to play people smart. Voluntary sector organizations never seem to have enough resources (people or money) to go around. We believe approaching this issue with a lens focused on all the people can take organizations to the next level. This includes your unpaid people — the ones you call volunteers. Volunteers can be our greatest asset and our greatest challenge, but if your organization engages volunteers well, you’ll be the one always on the power play.

People Planning 101 will enable your organization to:

  1. Identify key priorities for moving your organization forward;
  2. Strategize who can execute your action plans — including highly specialized volunteers;
  3. Rethink the way your organization works with community volunteers; and
  4. Get paid and volunteer leadership on the same page about where you’re going in the future.

People Planning 101 is currently under construction.
Check back in Fall 2010 for a new and improved program!
