Serving as the board chair of a not-for-profit organization is an important and challenging role. You lead a team of board members, develop a strong relationship with senior leadership, and are a catalyst for critical board discussions. Providing effective board leadership requires many skills, not least clarity around the role of the board chair and the basic functions of a not for profit board.

Vantage Point’s Critical Role of the Board Chair workshop provide you with insights and good practices that support you to excel in your role.

Facilitator

Tracy Logan

Tracy has been a part of the knowledge philanthropy team at Vantage Point for more than 15 years as a board member and facilitator. Tracy is currently working with the Surrey Food Bank  and is the previous Director of Business Objects community investment program, where she led a virtual team focused on a wide range of community initiatives. Tracy was with Business Objects (formerly Crystal Decisions) since 1985, serving as the Director of Sales, Director of International Sales, and more recently as the Director of Human Resources. She holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario and she is a mother to two wonderful boys.
