This workshop focuses on board members’ key responsibilities and moves boards out of operations and into the “big picture”.

Doris Orr

Doris Orr is passionate about shining the spotlight on each person’s greatness by helping them get excited about their unique value proposition. She enhanced her experience as a Chartered Accountant (now CPA, CA) by working overseas for six years, living in Wellington, NZ and London, UK. After 25 years in the corporate world she obtained her certification as an executive coach and now combines her coaching, inspirational speaking and business consulting with her passion for helping people live in their full potential. She has a keen interest in working with and inspiring leaders of Not for Profit organizations to do the good their mission and vision invites. She has had many Board roles including Treasurer, chair of Strategic Planning Committee and co-chair of Risk Management Task Force. She has also reported to Boards throughout her corporate career. She lives in Vancouver with her husband, teenage son and little puppy.
