Who should attend: board chairs, board members, executive directors

This workshop is specifically designed for board members to develop engaging stories about their organization to foster support and build resources.

Board members are well positioned to connect their organization to the resources and support required to fulfill their mission. Develop the skills and tools to access these resources by collecting, refining and sharing stories of mission impact in fresh, engaging ways.

Sharpen your skills through hands-on activities to practice making the pitch, and leave with a clear, compelling story of your organizational purpose.

Learning outcomes:

By the end of this workshop you will be able to: 

  • Understand how to create a unique story or pitch to bring to life your organization’s mission
  • Identify strategies to expand your network of support

Grant Monck

Grant has over twenty years of experience as a board member, senior fundraiser and lawyer. Grant has held senior positions with conservation, education and health organizations. Grant’s experience includes fundraising, communications, government relations and strategic planning. Specific expertise in major gift fundraising and gift planning. He currently advises clients from Hong Kong to Toronto including community and hospital foundations, education, First Nations, health and social service organizations. Working with staff and volunteer teams has been key to his success.
