Making the Most of Board Diversity

Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010
9:00am - 12:00pm
1183 Melville Street, Downtown Vancouver

Trainer: Joe Greenholtz

Is your board taking steps to bring in varied cultural, gender, and generational perspectives? Is your organization looking for ways to ensure diversity on the board truly benefits the way you govern?

Whether your board is already diverse, or heading in that direction, this half-day workshop will provide board members and Executive Directors with the insights necessary to maximize the ways in which diversity can contribute to enhanced board performance and, ultimately, greater organizational effectiveness. Participants will explore a concrete model of intercultural sensitivity designed to increase awareness of possible cross-cultural sources of tension in the organization that might impede effectiveness. Through experiential activities, participants will begin to frame how they, as individuals, can enhance their sensitivity toward differing cultural, and other, perspectives on the board.

A light snack will be provided.

Members: $71.40
Non-members: $84.00
