Sneak Peak at BOSS2015
We’re less than 10 days away from BOSS2015. We’re excited. Are you excited?
This fall at BOSS, we are releasing the incredible power and potential in our sector. New leaders are emerging in BC; leaders at the forefront of a new era in the not-for-profit sector, where philanthropy of knowledge and relationships of trust are generating breakthrough thinking and inspiring results. We couldn’t be more excited to host these leaders at BOSS and are pleased to introduce you to them now. Keynote speaker Paul Lacerte will highlight the importance of love in transforming leaders and radically increasing organizational impact, drawing on his experience growing Aboriginal Friendship Centres throughout BC. Keynote speaker Christine McLeod works to connect teams to purpose, resources, and the world; she will inspire attendees to show up as leaders when it counts the most.
John Horn, Carol Neuman, and Manpreet Dhillon will focus on different elements of transformational leadership such as building an authentic personal brand, an awareness of your personal ecology, and developing appropriate assertiveness. As Manager of Learning and Leadership at Vancity, John comes with contagious enthusiasm and a depth of experience building communities. Carol was recognized as one of Edmonton’s Top 40 under 40 for her work in Alberta guiding social change. Manpreet is a success coach, published author, and has over 15 years of experience managing and coaching.
Brent White, Jeffrey Wilcox, and Natasha Bailey will share positive, appreciative approaches to building capacity for impact. Natasha has been collaboratively implementing innovative processes in a range of contexts for 16 years. Brent has designed and delivered engaging people-development programs for 20 years and loves to help people see in a different way. Jeffrey’s work focuses on leadership continuity in the sector – developing both executive and board leaders.
To move our sector forward we must become better story tellers, demonstrate impact, and innovate at the system level. Meg Kwasnicki facilitates and connects ideas that are seemingly unconnected. Samuel Ramos is keen to uncover and channel people’s passions in connecting and meeting their goals. Jolanta-Scott Parker has led feminist organizations for the last 15 years. Jennifer Hystad focuses on utilization-focused results as a consultant with the Hystad Group., Wynona Giannasi comes with a wealth of knowledge in evaluation and stakeholder engagement, driven to coalesce varying ideas into meaningful ways forward, and Kylie Hutchinson addresses sustainability from the system level, known for her ability to take the complex and make it understandable. .
Thanks to transformative leadership like this, we’re moving the sector beyond the fringes and into the mainstream.
