Our mission is expanding and so is our team (again!).
I am delighted to introduce Meaghan Huet as Vantage Point’s new Program Manager.
Meaghan will play a significant part in delivering two new province-wide collaborations. The first is a Provincial Training Initiative with The Divisions of Family Practice to equip employees and board members with the leadership skills and resources to effectively govern and manage 32 individual Divisions of Family Practice around BC.
The second collaboration is a Succession Management Practices Project with the tHRive Project. In this project, Meaghan will work with our team of knowledge philanthropists to develop resources and tools to support not-for-profit leaders in managing succession within their organization.
In her own words, Meaghan says: “It’s an honour to have the opportunity to contribute to the already impressive amount of success that Vantage Point has experienced in inspiring and building leadership in the voluntary sector."
A recent graduate from Carleton University, Meaghan has relocated to Vancouver from Ottawa to take on this position. Meaghan’s experience in leading business development initiatives and managing a variety of human resource related programs and projects makes her a significant asset to our team. In addition, her graduate research in Gender and African Studies has strengthened her belief in the importance of community and people-focused approaches.
What gets her most excited about her new role?
“I’m excited to join such a wonderful team comprised of salaried employees and knowledge philanthropists all working together towards the common goal of building leadership in the not-for-profit sector. We all benefit from stronger organizations and communities and I’m looking forward to engaging in every way that I can!"
We’re excited too, Meaghan! Welcome to Vantage Point.
