COVID-19 Response Program
Our COVID-19 Response Team are skilled volunteers who can provide free, defined support to your organization as you address immediate needs and considerations due to COVID-19. Based on responses to our recent COVID-19 Impact Survey, the COVID-19 Response Team consists of:
- Financial Information Navigators
- Governance Advisors
- Fundraising Advisors
- Financial Management Advisors
Understanding Government Funding and Supports
We are developing resources so organizations understand government supports relevant to the not-for-profit sector. Please note: as new information continues to be made available, updates are being made to create new versions of resources. Facilitation & Advisory Services
As you make sense of your new normal and re-consider priorities, our facilitators and advisors are available to support you, your staff, and/or board through conversations and plans to re-align your team and operations with your mission. We are prepared to support you to effectively engage your clients, staff, board, funders, and other stakeholders. We have adapted our daily drop-in to a weekly event whereby Executive Directors, CEOs, Artistic Directors, General Managers, and other not-for-profit leaders can convene and support each other.

Convening Umbrella Organizations
We are convening umbrella organizations for a call to check in, discuss impacts, and identify areas of where support is needed so collaboration can happen.
Starting on Thursday, April 2, calls will take place on the first and third Thursday of the month via Zoom.

Letter Writing Campaign
We are sending letters to different levels of government and key decision-makers to advocate for not-for-profits during this crisis. We sent a letter to the BC Premier on March 25, outlining sector needs and have signed on to a number of special letters to the government.
We have postponed some workshops and are offering others virtually. Upcoming virtual topics include Intro to Performance Management (May 13, 2020), Board Fundamentals: Financial Governance (May 14, 2020), and Organizational Lifecycles: Assessing Capacity (May 20, 2020). A reminder to City of Vancouver Social Policy and Cultural Services grantees: bursary support is available through our website for these learning opportunities.
Connecting Not-for-Profits and Volunteers
We are adapting Govolunteer.ca so organizations can recruit volunteers to deal with the crisis by highlighting virtual, COVID-19 specific opportunities. We are also working with other providers and communities to promote safe approaches to volunteering in relation to this crisis.
During the COVID-19 crisis, Vantage Point is offering our organizational membership for free. For at least the next few months, you can receive an annual membership at Vantage Point at no cost. Our goal is to share our membership benefits with as many organizations as we are able doing this challenging time.
