Closing the Doors with Grace - Free Webinar

You are here

Gain clarity around the challenging decision of closing the doors.

More not-for-profit organizations than ever in a short period of time are facing the challenging decision to close their doors. We refer to this as the terminal stage in an organization’s lifecycle.

In this webinar Jennifer Bonnett, CEO of the Nonprofit Lifecycles Institute, will share insights on leading an organization through the terminal stage to assure that:

  • Operations close in a manner respectful of its past
  • Clients are referred to other community organizations, where possible
  • Communications with clients, funders, staff, volunteers, and other stakeholders are professional and organized
  • The board fulfills its due diligence to dispose of assets, close accounts, return restricted funds, and distribute remaining funds to other organizations

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be equipped to:

  • Articulate the principal challenges, and identify next steps, in leading an organization effectively through the terminal stage
  • Identify the diagnostic characteristics and the performance outcomes of a terminal stage not-for-profit
