With over 25 years’ professional experience in not-for-profit leadership roles, Eyob has a wealth of expertise surrounding many areas of the sector. From Board Governance, to financial procedures, and strategic networking. As the Executive Director of MOSAIC since 2001 (and their Director before then), Eyob has led over 300 workers, growing the organization’s resources and reach exponentially. He has generously brought his knowledge with him throughout many parts of the world such as Sudan, the UK, the US, and finally Canada, working on growing resources for several not-for-profits along the way. Eyob has a passion for diversity & inclusivity as a leader in the Settlement & Integration of Newcomers sector. He also has knowledge of cultural competency in leadership and brings an analytical lens to community issues and trends. When not in the office, you can find Eyob volunteering at one of his many commitments, such as Surrey Local Immigration Partnership, Vancouver Local Immigration Partnership, or Health Employers Association of BC.
