The Leadership Principles series is a unique professional development offering for not-for-profit leaders seeking to enhance their current leadership approach.

  • are currently working in the not-for-profit sector and thinking about a long term career
  • are responsible for leading individuals and teams to deliver results
  • have a combination of demonstrating leadership in your current role, along with vision and aspiration to take on further leadership responsibilities in your career

Topics

Leadership Principles focuses on two leadership attributes: leads self, and develops talent. Over three sessions, you will look at your own personal leadership approach, as well as developing individuals and developing teams.

City of Vancouver Grantee Organizations can apply for a Leadership Principles bursary via the program's application form. Candidates will be selected by a panel according to specific criteria.

Facilitators

     Lisa Torreggiani Lisa Torreggiani

With over 25 years of experience in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, Lisa has worked in healthcare, publishing, marketing, advertising and supported organizations as a consultant and facilitator in health, arts and culture, social services and housing (to name a few). Lisa joined Vantage Point in 2017 and as consulting manager she assists organizations throughout BC with strategic planning, governance, capacity building, ED performance reviews and recruitment.Over the past 15 years, Lisa has served as a volunteer, board member and fundraising committee member for several organizations in the sector. In addition, she is currently board chair for The Canadian Premature Babies Foundation. Lisa is passionate about her community and connecting people to theirs. Lisa has a BA in Communications from SFU, facilitation training from the Justice Institute of BC and coach training with Essential Impact, an accredited ICC program. Above all else, she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband Paul, two teenagers Ava and Luc, and their dog Gabe.
