Jagjit Sidhu
Policy Analyst, Intern
Jagjit is Vantage Point’s Policy Analyst, and is researching, retrieving, and compiling data as part of our Sector Development team. Jagjit has an extensive career in the not-for-profit sector which started with fundraising at Public Outreach for Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International, UNHCR, Plan Canada, and more. From there, he worked with the Canadian Red Cross, Lifetime Networks, and Our Place Society. All this while completing his undergraduate in Political Science and History at University of Victoria. Currently, Jagjit is pursuing his MA in International Studies at SFU. Jagjit would describe himself as keen, curious, and open, and brings several skills to his current role. These include research and analysis skills, and a strong focus and interest in the work at hand. He is passionate about social justice and “all the things that encompasses (racial equity, decolonization, equity for the LGBTQ community, environmental justice, true Reconciliation in Canada, etc.)”. He is also very into music. Outside work, you might find Jagjit playing basketball or cycling, lounging on the beach, or reading a good book. Currently, he is eagerly waiting for safe travel to resume as he would gladly adventure just about anywhere! Ask Jagjit about sports, music, or politics!
